Texas A&M Central Master Drainage
A master drainage plan was prepared for a 672-acre campus located in Killeen, Texas. A watershed approach was used to assess the campus development and make recommendations related to future detention and hydraulic structures contained in the campus.
A detailed hydrologic model was developed for approximately 10 square miles of urbanized watershed. A hydraulic analysis was prepared for approximately 4.5 miles of Zone A and Zone AE designated floodplain. The master drainage plan determined detention requirements, defined Base Flood Elevations (BFE’s), provided alternative analysis for nine bridges/culverts and set design criteria for future phases of development.
