Pacheco Koch was selected by the City of Plano to provide preliminary design, development of construction plans and specifications, bid phase assistance and construction phase services for the construction and widening of Parkwood Boulevard.
The project included the widening of Parkwood Boulevard from Park Boulevard to Windhaven Parkway (10,000 linear feet), from a four-lane divided to a six-lane divided roadway. Parkwood Boulevard was also extended from Windhaven Parkway to Spring Creek Parkway, a total of 9,400 linear feet of a six-lane divided roadway. The scope of the project included horizontal and vertical design to improve alignment and drivability through intersections within the project area. Drainage improvements were required consisting of more than 3,200 linear feet of storm sewer, up to 66-inches in diameter, and 9,400 linear feet of six-foot deep drainage swales.
