City of Dallas Safe Routes to School
Pacheco Koch was responsible for the design of 7,000 linear feet of new four-foot-wide concrete sidewalks within a two-mile radius of Oran M. Roberts Elementary in Dallas. Appropriate ancillary items such as driveways and alley aprons and ADA accessible ramps were also included.
The project was designed to meet state and federal accessibility standards. Pacheco Koch provided topographic and limited boundary survey of the design areas, and also aided in the construction feasibility and the selection of areas to be re-constructed. This project was funded through the Safe Routes to School grant program administered by TxDOT. The approximate construction cost for this project was $375,000.
