Adamson High School Replacement
The largest new construction project in the 2008 Dallas Independent School District Bond Program, W.H. Adamson High School, is a complex re-development of the 100-year-old campus, which consists of acquiring 42 individual properties from local land owners, and abandoning various easements and public right-of-ways for the new development.
Our firm worked closely with the City of Dallas Sustainable Development and Construction-Engineering Division on the design of what we believe to be one of the first private 80,000 cubic foot underground detention systems allowed within the City. With a scenic view of downtown and designed under the Texas-Collaborative for High Performance Schools (TX-CHPS) sustainable guidelines, this project ensures another long-lasting campus for Dallas ISD.
