George H. W. Bush Elementary
Opened in August 2011, George H.W. Bush Elementary School is the first public school to be located in Addison, Texas. The design team worked hand-in-hand with Dallas ISD and the Town of Addison on the development of the site for both the new school and a Town of Addison trail project.
Dallas ISD elected to use geothermal heating and cooling on the new school and Pacheco Koch coordinated all of the site’s existing and proposed utilities to avoid the new well fields. Pacheco Koch also worked with the Town of Addison’s consultants to extend water and sanitary sewer service to the site as well as re-design the intersection of Spring Valley and Vitruvian Way at the main entrance in front of the school.
