Eastfield College Learning Center
Pacheco provided civil engineering and land surveying services for Eastfield College’s 52,000-square-foot learning facility expansion.
This facility was designed to provide an innovative learning environment by utilizing non-traditional classroom and common area layouts, color schemes, furniture, and technology to steer away from traditional higher educational facilities and stimulate a more interactive learning experience. Pacheco Koch coordinated with DCCCD, City of Mesquite and the Design Team to provide civil design solutions to accommodate the new classroom expansion and address many campus infrastructure deficiencies that were unknown at the beginning of design. Able to overcome these challenges, the $11 million facility opened in time for the 2009 Spring semester. Pacheco Koch also performed topographic surveying and full civil design on the Eastfield College campus for the Industrial Tech Building Expansion and Child Study Center as well as provided topographic survey, paving design, and grading/drainage design for building and paving improvements.
