Since beginning practice in Dallas in 1982, Mark has provided design and consulting services on a wide variety of civil engineering projects including site developments, public facilities, roadways, utility infrastructure, stormwater handling and floodplain analysis. His 39 years of diverse work history has given him the opportunity to be involved from many different positions including private design consultant, city engineer, owner’s representative, and elected official. This unique insight enables him to facilitate even the most difficult projects through successful completion.
Mark is also a highly qualified land surveyor with experience in a wide variety of project types. He specializes in projects with complex property boundary issues including eminent domain.
He has served in many community leadership positions including the Dallas Regional Mobility Coalition, Allen City Council, Allen Economic Development Corporation and the Allen Planning & Zoning Commission. He served as Vice Chair of the American Council of Engineering Companies – Texas (ACEC) in 2013-2015, was the 2010 President of the Dallas Council of Engineering Companies, and was named the 2005 Engineer of the Year by the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.
His current professional affiliations include involvement with the American Water Works Association (AWWA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE), and Texas Society of Professional Land Surveyors (TSPLS).
