Located on UT Southwestern Medical Center’s East Campus, the Radiation Oncology Building is home to some of the most advanced cancer-treating equipment in the nation. This three-story, 63,000 square foot facility is the largest radiation oncology center in North Texas. It is also the only medical center in North Texas to attain National Cancer Institute designation, a gold standard for cancer programs honoring research innovation and excellence in patient care. The facility includes seven radiation vaults, clinical and support spaces, faculty offices, and a four-level, 300-space garage.
Civil engineering and landscape architecture services were provided by Pacheco Koch for this $33 million project. Among those services were a demolition plan, dimensional control, site paving, grading and drainage, erosion control, a stormwater pollution prevention plan, utility relocation, irrigation, landscape and hardscape. Additionally, Pacheco Koch provided project coordination, bidding and construction phase services.
